I'm sympathetic to trans people, I experienced dysphoria most of my life and chose to rep and eventually got rid of it other ways. I know that's hard and no doubt some of them are better off when they transition. Yeah I didn't transition, but I'm not claiming to be trans I'm saying I experienced dysphoria about my gender because I did. For most of my life actually, and it was even a big part of a suicide attempt. I was unaware of transitioning when I was younger and my life didn't pan out in a way where transitioning was a possibility (chronic illness, drug addiction etc all came into play) and then it became to late to do anything like that so I had to deal other ways and I have. People with clinical depression can still feel happiness and have good days, the misconception here is that things are so black and white and all suffering is extreme or it's nonexistent. Most issues we recognize exist on a spectrum, there's precancer and there's stage 4 cancer and everything in between but it's all cancer. Would you tell someone with stage 2 cancer that they're not really suffering from cancer because it's not stage 4? I doubt that, you'd have sense in that situation, take that sense and apply it here.
