medication, communicating with my therapist, normal things basically to cope in a healthy way
Whenever I'm sad, I go outside. If I can't go outside, I play some fun video games (not your 4x 3d chess or somber rpgs but rather games like gta etc.), eat, read, clean the flat, or just nod off. but I'm not depressed. I guess.
doesnt matter if youre diagnosed with depression or not, everyone can feel down for a quite a while. i also go outside when i feel down, the sun and vitamin d tends to cheer me up
So a few months ago back in July I mentioned that my 19 year old sister has her 1st boyfriend and I find it gross because hetshit is yucky.
I had a couple of response agreeing that hetshit is gross but saying that I should be happy for her and I agreed with them.
Something I didn't mention back then was that her boyfriend is 33 years old and a mixed race immigrant from south Africa, Arab on his fathers side, black on his moms side and raised in a strict Muslim household, though he is no longer a practicing Muslim himself.
Anyway they've been together since the first week of July and my sister basically moved in with him after their 3rd date which was like 5 days after their 1st and they only knew each other for a week before that.
They started planning to go on vacation to south Africa about 6 weeks ago for a 2 week stay but he has now convinced her to come and stay in Johannesburg for 6 months, starting in January.
My mom is trying hard to convince her to not go and preferably break up with him for a multitude of reasons, for example her boyfriend is very manipulative and has already lied to her about some serious things, he is quite controlling and the large age gap and how violent south Africa is and so on.
Should I respect her decision or should I try and convince to not go too?
