I remember the sunburns and sore muscles I’d constantly get from shucking corn for hours at a time, I remember feeling gross and spending hours cleaning the chicken coops, and yeah I remember how long it took to defeather and prepare the chickens and I know it would only be harder with more animals.

It was hard, but I loved the work, and many in the 4H group did too!
