This makes me look oversensitive and fembrained as fuck, and I'm probably going to get made fun of for this, but I don't care. I just cannot handle any kind of media that contains anything to do with sexual assault, harassment, or whatever against a woman. Even though I never experienced anything like that in real life, it just makes me feel (not sure if this is the right word) dysphoric. It reminds me of what I am and what is meant to happen to me, I guess. The only reason why anyone born female isn't a rape slave is because of the law, an artificial force that can easily be broken or just straight up changed to allow it. Not because of something concrete like the physical capability to defend themselves. I'm fucking tired of it. I just can't handle it and it just makes it impossible for me to enjoy any kind of media.

For example, I found out about "Mouthwashing" and thought it looked like a cool game. I was planning on buying it until I found out that the only female character exists primarily to be a victim of rape.

(Going on an unhinged tangent here but it's amplified by the fact that I've heard that she's generally weak and extremely scared of the guy who raped her, and even ends up killing herself because of him. Isn't she the crew's doctor? Why couldn't she at least kill him by secretly poisoning him when giving him a flu shot or something? Because there was a chance it would backfire and only put her in more danger? But wasn't she going to kill herself anyway? She's genuinely so fucking weak and stupid and I hate her. Yeah this sounds like victim blaming but I don't care because she's not a real person. Why did they have to make her like this? For it to be a commentary on how women are mistreated or whatever? It's not going to bring about any kind of social change. It's a video game. All it does is make people upset.)

I'm overwhelming predatory when it comes to how I date. While it is possible I could be victimized, it doesn't happen often and I'm usually thinking about getting to the other person first. Being male gives cis m strength but they lack things that can be exploited due to it.

In relation to the game, spoilers and shit but they could get their whole crew's pay docked for doing things like reporting bad behavior to HR. The main character is depicted as a dick who uses the position they're in to fuck others over constantly before anyone gets a chance to react. She could have killed her assaulter but it likely would have earned her jail time and a crew pay cut (something she can't do because she has no savings). She didn't have very many options and the main character doesn't give her much time to react to anything, even in their dialogue toward each other.

i cant relate i actually really liked anya. i feel youre projecting your self doubt and hatred onto her because you hate being weak and she, like a regular person, cant handle being raped and ends it. that in turn feels like a personal insult to you. she's just a realistic depiction of a rape victim, some people can't take the pain, theyre sad, this is all normal. she's sad the whole time because she's constantly interacting with her rapist in a dire survival situation, when she's talking to the other characters shes different.

But then again, I don't get why they had to include this shit in a video game, something meant for entertainment. It's a horror game, sure, but horror games are supposed to give you the thrilling, fun kind of fear. Not the upsetting kind. Like the kind of fear you feel on a scary rollercoaster, rather than the kind of fear you feel when you're in the hospital waiting room while your loved one might not make it out alive.

that's just life. unfortunately a lot of bad men take advantage of their strength and use it to make everyone else feel powerless. but it's unfair to take it out on others. my advice is to practice fighting and strength so you can defend yourself and others, hopefully that would take away some of the fear of rape. in my ideal world i inject women with roids (not too much though) and make them train and fight since childhood to balance it out

But when it comes to Mouthwashing, Curly's fate fucked me up badly in a similar way. I'm terrified of becoming disfigured/disabled, and what happened to Curly is one of my worst nightmares. It's like you said about women being weak and helpless but instead of women it's humans in general. What happened to Curly could've happened to anyone. He couldn't have predicted it, he couldn't have done anything to prevent it, and now that it happened he can't do anything to reverse it. He went from being a regular, successful, happy guy to being a disfigured skinless cripple and now he's stuck like that forever. Humans are so fucking small and fragile. All it takes to ruin someone's life is to just throw some acid on their face and that's it; you're permanently disfigured and will be in pain for the rest of your life. You can be walking down the streets one day and be mauled to death by shitbulls without even being given a fighting chance. You can fall and hit your head just a little too hard and be left a braindead shell of a person for the rest of your life. Being human is a horrifying experience and death isn't even the worse fate a person can have. Media like Mouthwashing just makes me more and more paranoid and neurotic about it.
Although instead of this making me hate Curly like you hate Anya it made me want to take care of him and make sure he is ok. And also have sex with him.

I'm not saying she absolutely needed to kill Jimmy, I'm saying her behavior around him is strange and, to me, incomprehensible. You don't need to be vindictive in order to actually take action and not be a pushover. If she didn't want to kill him, fine. She could'be easily gotten Swanson and Daisuke to at the very least help her lock him in a room and let him rot in there, since the ship had already crashed and they were all going to die regardless. At the very least, she could have actually shown some sort of contempt for him when they spoke, but she was completely unresponsive the whole game, even more than Curly.
And the pills thing is unjustifiable. She's the only nurse on the ship; they're all counting on her to help with their medical issues. If she can't do her job properly she shouldn't be there.
To clarify, I'm not saying she deserved what happened to her. Just that I dislike her character.

Killing Jimmy means he is technically set free of all potential harm from court, prison time, damage to his social reputation and job prospects, being registered as a sex offender, and lastly watching him destroy himself based solely on his own and decisions.
