depends on family, race and location
but generally males are 4 inches taller than females. if you are over 4 inches taller than your mom or sisters, definitely a heighthon. and if you are taller than the average male of your race, definitely a heighthon. you can always move to somewhere people are taller though, unless you're 6'+, in which case you're definitely DEFINITELY a heighthon

That's the thing. Short for a guy might feel tall for a girl. Or being feminine for a guy might feel andro for a girl. Compared to guys I'm short and feminine for sure. To women? Eh, I'm just happy to fit somewhere in the average where nothing about me is noticeably off. Even that for a trans woman is luckshit imo.

too short is bad for mtfs too. they get weird amab proportions. i've seen a lot of tall mtfs whose faces pass way better than any short mtfs. might also be because blockers prevent the plates from fusing and make you grow taller

That isn't universally true.
In developing nations you definitely see a height increase over time since they have nutrition gains.
But in already developed nations you start to see either peaking and stagnation or small declines in height because nutrition stays the same or gets a bit worse compared to a few decades ago.
The obesity epidemic for example probably has stunted height more than helped it increase to the extent it had an impact. Obesity is associated with inflammatory conditions like diabetes.
It's possible to get height gains from sexual selection instead of nutriton. But for that to happen you'd need to see tons of short men failing to reproduce and tall men impregnating many extra women in place of short men. In reality, most reproduction is happening with monogamous couples, and most baby boomer and gen X men reproduced regardless of their heights.
Possibly the children of zoomers will be sexually selected for tall heights if online dating resulted in zoomer women all choosing the same few tall men to reproduce with. But I doubt that'll happen.
