I frankly find it a bit suprising that a lot of mtfs openly hate the femboy community. Whenever it gets mentioned there's always at least one degrating comment claiming that femboys are "fetish objects", with no explaination or follow up. I'm not sure what the reasoning is but dressing feminine, wearing makeup, grooming, etc is not inherently sexual. I thought such a group would be more open minded, but suprisingly there seems to be a lot of reinforcing the status quo going on. It's also bizarre because I see more overlap between the two groups than people are caring to admit. I don't understand the pseudo-moral stance that people believe they are entitled to just because they're on HRT.

yeah i don't really care about femboys if they're not coombaiting or ragging on trannies. but i don't think this is a very common thing.

as an ex-femboy I think the real issue is that most of the men into femboys are actually just pedophiles, and a lot of femboys are very young, confused about their sexuality and identity, and end up taken advantage of. Femboys also have a similar issue that furries have, where depending on the situation they try to act like being a femboy is totally non-sexual and benign, but 99% of the actual content they engage with online is fetishistic and meant to jerk off to. I'm obviously not into whatever femboy communities are popular right now, but from a cursory search the most popular femboy subreddits are basically just porn. "Femboy" has always been an identity heavily linked to porn.
The other issue is that I see a whole lot more transphobia from self-identified femboys than I see femboy-phobia from trannies. Some of that is the "right wing femboy" meme, where they're just politically opposed, and some of it is obviously insecure femboys who don't like the idea that many or most femboys are really just trans. As an ex-femboy I know from my own experience that being a femboy is a really common cope for being trans, because it's a way to try to achieve some of the goals of transitioning while maintaining plausible deniability. I've been around these online spaces for like a decade now, and I've seen so many femboys insistent that they're not trans but ending up on estrogen and then admitting to actually being trans women, including myself. And yet there's always some "18" year old "guy" who freaks out and gets transphobic over this idea, while accusing anyone of suggesting this fact as being femboy-phobic. So if we're talking about overlap between trans women and femboys, the vast majority of people who don't like to admit this are femboys.
Well yes, I'm aware of there's an economy around the whole group now with a percentage of people opting in to Onlyfans so people can pay to see them naked as well as a vast number of older or more masculine guys crawling to have sex or hookup with them. I don't think it's super common for femboys to necessarily want to exclusively bait those types of men to have actual sex with them though, they generally keep within their own group as I tend to as well.
