What have YOU done to convince TERFs not to be so hateful? It's our moral duty to help fight bigotry, and these people's minds CAN be changed. Even if we can't fully convince them, changing their minds on minor points like puberty blockers or trans women in bathrooms, or even just that trans people are people too, is a huge step for the wellbeing of trans people everywhere.

One of my close female friends is a TERF. We've been friends since before I trooned or she became a TERF, she's a failed russian feminist, it's a super common pipeline. We just don't talk about trans stuff these days. But she recently told me that she couldn't even register me as a man anymore and to her I was just a woman.

Honestly, this sort of happens. I'm not transphobic but one of my male college friends transitioned to female. I still registered said friend as male for awhile and I was worried I'd never be able to shake that view (compared to meeting someone who transitioned before we met), but after a year or so I started instinctively registering her as female internally (including briefly wondering if she was pregnant when she gained a bit of weight over covid)
My mum had TERF-y positions (thankfully didn’t find the community) but after a couple years of me transitioning has became super anti-TERF and has talked some of her friends out of the pipeline. The problem is she doesn’t support my transition, makes me manmode because I don’t pass, and uses that to convince people "the reasonable ones won’t police you and live their lives in private" lol.
