I had very bad social anxiety and was shy. Most of the time it is people first talking to me(mainly at work) before I am able to talk to them. I wasn't an openly loving person. But people caring about me, even just a hello, or good morning, or the occasional brief conversation, has slowly, over the years softened my hard heart.
I've been hurt by people too, and I have hurt people as well.
But without that, I'd never learn to grow and become a better person.
