The left was NEVER pro trans, for the sake of trans. They supported trans purely as a tool for their own purposes.
The only ones who care about trans/LGBT in principle are the individual rights/liberty oriented folks, who may even personally disagree with some (most) of the beliefs espoused by this community, but will defend your rights, because by protecting your rights to live and love however you see fit, we are protecting our own rights to do the same.
It's a terrible shame so many otherwise great LGBT people are politically commie/antifa/leftist, who would be the first lined up against the wall if "their" regime ever gained total control.
