If we're being realistic, FTMs on average pass better than MTFs. But that doesn't mean much. There are some features that testosterone simply can't change, even after years of use.
The reason this happens is because AFABs are more neotenous than AMABs. Testosterone can't change the neotenous facial structure, and estrogen can't give you one either. MTFs often need to combine FFS with other surgeries to achieve that look, but even then, they end up looking bogged. FMS still looks shit on AFABs.
The good thing about testosterone is that it can give you a beard and help you hide a feminine face, but your eyes are still visible, so you can end up looking strange.
So, even though FTMs can pass better, the majority of both FTMs and MTFs suck at it.
