Im trans if that matters i just felt like venting this because iv been a meat eater all my life but im worried that may change as i get older since the older I get the more empathy i feel for things. I dont understand why god would build a world where one would feel sad for eating something that is so healthy to us.
To be an animal it makes me sad.... i prefer to eat processed meat like salami because it feels less like an animal. Chicken wings make me the saddest because they seem so life like -_-
On the bright side eggs dont make me too sad as long as its free range. I just try not to think about the fact we've literally domesticated chickens and curtailed their dna to the point where they lay more eggs than they should, i wish i could know if they were happy. Like if eat their eggs, do they get sad? Do they get sad if they lay too many eggs? What if sadness is just requisite for living on earth? Why would god do such a thing?
Christians try to make me believe that 99% of the suffering on earth is due to humans and i wonder if that really is true. There certainly might he an argument to thar effect if we had the collective potential to end world hunger but chose to forsake others in favour for ourselves then i guess if gods sees us all as one then yea world hunger would low key be our fault.
So maybe those christians are right.
Maybe we have all the tools needed to cure all the maladies of the world if we wanted, but due to profit we dont. If god is judginf us all as one then it makes sense. It means not only are the sins of the elite also ours, its our sin for not stopping those are corrupt, in fact to let corruption go unpunished may be the greatest source of evil there is.
So maybe the Christians are right i dunno...
