As a Christian, gays aren't to be hated or exterminated. It's just a fetish that they shouldn't indulge and shouldn't be encouraged. That's literally it. It's just another sin. Having the sin doesn't damn you if you're saved, what matters is accepting salvation through Christ and wanting to not indulge in that sin because of Him. You'll still slip up and give in to some temptations here and there in life, everyone is a sinner. It's not that you're saved from the actions you do, it's that you want to do actions because you're saved. Everyone is bad, everyone has hate on some level. Therefore there will be Christians who have this hate. This is a sad scenario but it will be there cause nobody is perfect. The most common scenario however is that anyone can call themselves Christian. Only God knows if they truly accepted Jesus and are therefore saved so you can't tell who's really Christian but you can get hints from how they behave. Catholics do not classify as Christian cause they deny salvation through most of Catholics practices such as Idolatry and thinking you're saved through acts. God didn't make you gay. You aren't doomed for being gay. It's a fetish you have that you are meant to try and resist and if you're a Christian who is saved but has this fetish it will most likely be a lifelong struggle to resist it but if you are saved then you're saved. This is not an excuse to give in to such sins cause if you would abuse salvation like that you probably aren't a true Christian who loves Jesus and knows Him but it's that if you are a real Christian you will want to be free of sin. That's it. That's how this shit works. Hate is a sin. Homosexuality is a sin. Neither are good, neither should happen, but people will slip into temptation of both and if you're saved you will try to resist but failure won't damn you. Christ is King. Like to me Christianity always drilled into our heads that we are imperfect and can never hope to be perfect beings, but that is ok because god still loves us.
