bleach blonde, long, with long layers. it’s expensive asf to maintain but whatever it makes me happy
having to maintain hair scares me. the most I do right now is brush it once in the morning.
some days, that is all i do too. especially if it is dirty. but bleached hair you need to do clarifying shampoo every 2 weeks, purple mask once a month, purple shampoo/conditioner in between the mask. and on shower days i use a scalp serum from Kerastase and then leave in and hair oil after towel drying
oh and i have to go do roots and toner at a salon every 8-10 weeks $200-ish before tip each time
yeah…that sounds like too much work. I think I’m happy with my natural color.
and that’s okay! there is nothing wrong with natural hair. how do you like to wear/ style it?
i’m only a bleach blonde cause im a bimbomaxxing twinkhon
learning to do my own roots to save money was the best choice i made two years ago
i keep my hair a dusty rose platinum using a Wella lilac toner and do a chocolate brown smudge root with demi to keep any roots touchups i do off my scalp. bleaching an inch off the scalp helps to avoid hot roots, at the cost of slightly more damage from the sorta-double processing (from brown smudge roots to blonde later, but this is why i do demi and not permanent)
olaplex keeps it healthy though
i love my hair, i take care care of it and cherish it and baby it. my hair is me. i dont get how the trans neglect it so much and think theyll be seen as women with their frizzy fried messes.
i bought extra penetrating argan oil for my dry af hair but idk if a balm would be better
i started cutting my own hair. I think i paid 30 bucks for all the equipment and it looks okay enough that no one has pointed it out yet
as light as my hair is, it requires foils, and i don’t have the patience or wherewithal to try foiling my own hair. but im a little jealous because im sure you save so much money. what is your natural color? the chocolatey brown?

i think it’s a combination of a few factors 1) moids don’t care for their hair at all really, besides washing it and brushing it. and that same lackluster haircare habits follow them into transition
2) a lot of them, especially transbians, thing that just having long hair = girl, and that since they let their hair get long it is immediately a feminine hairstyle, hence requiring no additional effort
3) lack of female socialization, and i think this is the biggest one. not getting read for your frizzy hair by the mean girls in middle school and then nearly frying your hair off trying to straighten it on max heat with no protectant using an $18 conair from walmart is a formative experience. it motivates one to improve their skills. and then a lot of troons don’t have many cis F friends who can help them with hair, even after transition.
Right now I just have like a fucking boymoder bob with bangs. I don’t really style it.
I kind of want to change it, but idk what to do. I’ve noticed if I put the back up I look more fem, but it’s not really long enough for a ponytails and stuff currently.
I guess I should just grow it out, but I’ve always kept my hair kind of mid length or short so I’m not sure how I’d feel. The longest it got was when I didn’t get a haircut for like 2 years, but I didn’t think it looked good then. I’m on hormones now though and probably take better care of it now so maybe it would look better, but I still have that kind of fear.
hair products overwhelm me, there are so many and I don’t know which to use or how.

it’s partly what I said to I’m just paralyzed by taking the first step from just washing it and stuff and have no idea what to do.
once
You brush it at least a hundred times, right?
what is your natural color?
a level 5ish neutral brown. i use to dye it box dye black before i learned any better.

hmm thats fair ig. it feels like there should be tutorials online for teaching men how to do the basics like hair fundamentals before they transition.
unfortunately, aside from the hair type/texture based products, i.e if you have thick curly hair getting products for thick curly hair, a lot of it is trial and error. one way i’ve found things i like to use is when im getting stuff from sephora or ulta they always have little gifts with purchase or free minis, and sephora has their rewards shop with points. so ive tried lots of hair stuff before arriving at the ones i use daily/weekly just from samples/minis
honestly a doll who knows makeup and hair could probably make a killing on yt doing trans tutorials. makeup and hair do a lot of heavy lifting in “passing”, despite what people here will say about “if you’re a true passoid you pass with a buzz cut” or whatever. cissies love it when someone ascribes to cis-centric feminine beauty standards
I wake up and brush it all over a few times, but I doubt it reaches 100. Is it supposed to be 100 in total? 100 for every “section”??
is there such a thing as truly hopeless hair? i've tried every curly routine i can find online and spent hundreds on different conditioners and gels and shampoos and trying different things and nothing gives any sort of results whatsoever. i'm probably going to shave it off as soon as i can afford a nice authentic wig
imma rape u lel
Don’t give up and become a wighon, I believe in you.
I’d blow drying my hair fine? I don’t like how long I have wet hair if I let it air dry.
My hair fuckings sucks, looks like shit no matter what I do, im just hiding it with hats all the time
qott: what style are you currently sporting?
have had an assymetrical bob for three months now, before that my hair was just past my shoulders. chopping it all off was my best decision ever, i love it. sometimes i straighten it but i sorta enjoy the messy tomboy look.
this is when i don't straighten it btw (originally wanted to post this pic but whatever lol)
change it
What makes it asymmetrical?
it's shorter at the back than at the sides but you can't see in these pics, must see if i have a side view.
yes blow drying is fine. just use heat protectant if you are blow drying at high heat
I like your outfit :3
How do i transition out of a wolfcut? Ive had it forever and wanna go more feminine. Its shoulder length in the back now and pretty shaggy with a ton of layers.
I'm the third and I'm fucked and scared of ruining my hair and I kinda hate the whole beauty industry so I dont want to be a product whore
any good resources ?!?!! :(
What do you do for a wolf cut?
Speaking of wolf cuts. Would a wolf cut look stupid if I dress like a nerdy librarian instead of an alt girl?
Mostly unstyled. Has plenty of volume and natural texture and curve.
Is your hair just like that?
Yeah pretty much I bleach/color every once in a while but take decent enough care of it. Currently pretty theyfab since it’s green rn
How can I put my hair up so it doesn't show my shitty hairline? Starting work at a cafe in couple of weeks and I need to keep my hair up when at work. It doesn't look bad when I keep it loose.
clip-in bangs can be worn with a ponytail for a really cute look that also gives you bangs / makes bangs fuller
you can find a set that is as wispy or full as you want. here is wispier
and here is fuller
Thanks, bangs look incredibly terrible on me though :( Some kind of side-do might work, left side is a bit worse than right...
