in Ellaphae you pray with your eyes open; through the eyes of your Epitome; to the goddess herself

it should be a figure which naturally evokes pure and warm feelings; not lewd thoughts- a good Epitome is extremely important and you must take great care in choosing; you need to be able to open your deepest heart and soul to the goddess through that; ideally you should love her romantically and spiritually but the romantic component is not required; you may spend thousands of hours in your lifetime gazing into those eyes; so you really have to be sure you choose or discover the right one; it is part of how she will shape you into a better stronger person

a fictional character is valid so long as they are generally associated with the virtues and would uphold them in their creative works; however you must be able to decouple them from that; nothing of that fiction should influence your faith; you are only borrowing the appearance because it makes you feel something that you can focus your heart on and thats how you start to form your connection to Ellaphae
