i mean more that you're never going to find a socialist organization that perfectly meets your ideological requirements, so you should find all the democratic centralist organizations near you (obviously this is influenced by where you live) and start going to their meetings regardless. if you try to get to know some people and find out what everyone's about, you could probably look to work more seriously within the group that you feel you can do the most in and push the hardest for that

well it's true that gay marriage and gay adoption aren't legal in china, but it's not illegal to be openly gay or trans. chinese social media is full of gay people posting about their relationships and trans people discussing their experiences transitioning. there's a lot of extremely popular and mainstream chinese media that uses coding to create stories that are pro homosexuality and have sympathetic portrayals of homosexual relationships (but with plausible deniability that they aren't in a homosexual relationship, they're "really good friends and roommates" or whatever. japan is pretty much the same way.). it's similar to how homosexual coding was used for decades in america when the The Hays Code was in place. it's really a complicated issue with a lot of nuance but it certainly isn't "super anti gay." transition is actually getting easier in china, really. there's nothing stopping you from changing your documents and there are quite a few lgbt clinics available
