It’s actually extremely useful in nature but I can tell you’ve never left your home and actually used simple tools for extended periods (it is tough, tiring work!)

I made construction work and I can tell you that the way it's done it's one of the most inefficient ways to make buildings. There's no standarized measures nor a way to train people to do some specialized work and a lot of the work that can't be done with slightly sophisticated tools needs a lot of skill rather than brute force.
