Did you know the old NFS games are abandonware? you can download them for free at this point, it's on preservation sites. Been replaying NFSU2 and it holds up beautifully. Also it sounds like an insult but the Legends of Runeterra game has really good PvE content if you like building decks that get out of control. It's on mobile if you wanna avoid the riot rootkit cancer.

I was on the tail end of puberty by the time new leaf came out and I bought it for myself. I got that, monster hunter 4U, pokemon X and the 3ds smash bros. Honestly that and monster hunter were my go-to's, 3ds was a good time.
Switch has been disappointing so I'm back to just PC.
you've got good taste too, I've tried so many times to get into grand strategy and it just doesn't stick for me. too many mechanics that try to stop me from doing stuff.
