But that means that a person with a "female" GENDER needs the right to change their SEX on I.D.'s? It's not logically consistent, and I believe these gaps in logic (plus a refusal to address them) are a big part of why the Democrats are losing the public on the tranny issue.

Well, then they shouldn't list it as "sex" on the ID. Trans activists have spent the better part of the last decade stressing that gender and sex are different, usually with the implication that gender is the changeable one. Whatever the consensus is on this board, the common understanding is still that gender is the changeable thing, sex isn't. So when you say that you want to change your officially listed sex, too, many people will look at you and say

I've been saying for years that trannies, once they have acclimated the public to gender changing, will pivot and start trying to claim sex is changeable too. Essentially, they will try to redefine the dictionary until you have no words left to explain how they aren't the same thing as a natal woman. I expect them to try and steal the term "natal" next ("um acscstually womb conditions blah blah").
It won't work. Most people still believe that a trans woman and a cis woman are not the same thing, at all. You can't shame or gaslight them into compliance. The best you could hope for is a good compromise, where they learn to accept you a little more, but you're not screaming TWIW until they agree.
