One there I have noticed as a gay bottom on this board

Those "associations with given social groups" are actively dissolving in our culture thats realizing that there is very little objectivity behind them anymore. Everyone is just a jelly pilot to a meat puppet. The idea that "youre X because you act Y" doesnt exist. And maybe there is some science to identity, but its psychological science, its fluid and not measureable. Especially not by some discrete scale between male and female or some other silly third gender. Its all just placebo.

extremely hyperbolic. trans people are not single-handedly making it impossible to decipher that there are two primary social groups primarily consisting of members of either sex.

And maybe there is some science to identity, but its psychological science, its fluid and not measurable.

yes and no. there is science behind the idea that being trans it not purely psychological. i'm not extremely versed, but there have been correlations found with certain genes, and studies comparing identical and fraternal twins have shown that in the former case you're vastly more likely to have both identify as transgender than you are if they're fraternal. that's not a smoking gun of course, it could be a matter of an especially close bond and the idea that 'well if my twin is trans then i probably am too', but it's not nothing by any means, especially, again, in comparison to fraternal twins. the contrast in the study i'm remembering was pretty stark.
beyond that, no, you probably can't ever 'measure' someone's gender, but we can rely on their subjective experience and sound diagnostic practice to determine if they're dysphoric. and if some people who aren't dysphoric get a diagnosis then like... that's their problem. it doesn't mean we should throw out the whole idea and fuck over all the people who do truly have this sort of differentiation.

What do you mean?

my brain goes
THIS PERSON IS MALE
when I talk to you

Only passable post-op trans women should be considered women.

Gender change should be an standardized process, and such given to those who meet a proper criteria.

"Because my post-modernist onions-drinking therapist said so" is not enough.

Bottom surgery should be mandatory if you want to be considered a woman.

>Ensures they can't rape their inmates and women in the bathroom

>Raises the barrier to entry, which will reduce the number of fakers and undecided.

Makes sense. Womanhood is hard, must be earned.

I know it means mostly younger people will get to enjoy this privilege but that's a sacrifice I am willing to make.

Tbh as a passing post op woman who likes my vagina i don't think there is any moral argument that you can make into essentially coercing someone to go through the first 3 months of SRS recovery

btw i look like a woman

sure you do

there's no moral argument you can make for protecting cis women from being raped by people with penises sharing a prison and intimate spaces with them.

Really?

For this:

women being raped by women is a women issue
